The 11th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM)
Dear esteemed colleagues and friends,
With great pleasure, we extend our warm invitation to you on behalf of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics to join us at the 11th ICIAM conference, taking place from 12 to 17 July 2027 for the first time ever in The Netherlands.
The Hague has a deserving reputation of prestige, stature and influence. It is a place where important matters are discussed, where decisions are made and where alliances are forged. The Hague is home to the Dutch Royal Family, the Parliament, Nobel-prize winning organizations, numerous international companies and is the second largest UN city. At the same time, The Hague offers surprising and refreshing diversity. Historic and modern architecture harmoniously interlock in the charming city center. The inspiring international vibe complements the traditional Dutch way of living which is well known for its enormous respect for social and environmental sustainability. You might also be surprised by the city's playful side - with its beautiful sandy beaches, promenades, bars, restaurants and a vibrant cultural scene, something that all visitors love to discover.
The scientific program will cover a comprehensive range of applied mathematical topics, highlighting the most recent advances in the discipline and demonstrating their applicability to science, engineering and industry. In addition, the conference will emphasize industrial applications and computational science in new and emerging topics. Industrial mathematics will be featured prominently through an integrated program highlighting the many outstanding contributions of applied mathematics. ICIAM 2027 will also be an opportunity to demonstrate to young researchers and graduate students the vast potential of mathematics.
Each day, two lectures will be devoted to a specific applied mathematical topic and its most relevant industrial applications. In order to guarantee optimal industry participation, the conference program will be organized into special topical days, devoted to application areas of interest to a large community. There will be topical days on Energy, Life Science & Health, High Tech Systems, Chemistry, and Water. The plenary opening lecture of each day will be given by a world expert in industrial and applied mathematics, and at least one parallel mini symposia session will build on the plenary lecture and topic of the specific industry day.
As the subtitle indicates: Mathematics for a sustainable future, ICIAM 2027 is committed to sustainability. We also encourage all attendees to opt for environmentally friendly travel options, such as train transportation , when journeying to The Hague.
We eagerly await your arrival in The Hague for the 11th ICIAM conference where knowledge, collaboration, and networking will converge to create an unforgettable experience.
Warm regards,
The Local Organizing Committee
