Biography Peijun Li

Peijun Li is a Feng Kang Distinguished Professor at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2005 and subsequently held a postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan from 2005 to 2008. Prior to returning to China, he was a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Purdue University, where he was promoted to full professor in 2017.
Dr. Li's research focuses on inverse problems for partial differential equations, as well as wave propagation and scattering theory. He has received several major honors, including the Feng Kang Prize of Scientific Computing (2025), the Calderón Prize from the Inverse Problems International Association (2015), and the National Science Foundation CAREER Award (2012).
